As the clock ticks toward the 2023 Nigeria general elections, the Caritas Nigeria Good Governance unit headed by Sir Mark Asu-Obi organised a two day workshop for the Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) Directors and Stakeholders. The workshop aims at...

equiping the participants with the right knowledge on eclectoral acts, community mobiliozation strategies for citizen participation in politics and how best the elections should be conducted in line with the catholic social teachings.

The Espicospal Representative; Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah, in his welcome remarks, stressed that the catholic church must have a destination because without proper mapping; efforts , time, resources invested in mobilizing eligible voters would be useless. He encouraged the participants to make themselves relevant stating the fact that catholic church has the numeric strength to influence and bring on board the right persons into political offices for the good of all Nigerians.

The Executive Secretary, Caritas Nigeria, Rev, Fr. Uchechukwu Obodoechina thanked Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah for coming to share his pool of experience with the participants on leadership qualities and good governace. He is hopeful that the two days event would yield positive results that would last beyond 2023 general elections.
