The Justice Development and Peace Commission of the Catholic Diocese of Maiduguri marked her 50 years anniversary this week (February 23, 2022) in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The event which was hosted by the Bishop of Maiduguri, Most Rev. Dr. Oliver Dashe Doeme drew major church partners and actors in the Nigerian development sector.
Highlights of the event were the presentation of the JDPC Maiduguri 5-years Strategic Plan (2022-2027), goodwill messages and presentation of awards.
Caritas Nigeria, represented by her Executive Secretary and CEO, Fr Uchechukwu Obodoechina and the Catholic Relief Services, represented by its country head, Paul Townsend, were among top dignitaries that graced the occasion.
The Caritas Nigeria Humanitarian Services Team which currently works majorly in the North east region, led by its Director , Nkese Udongwo were also on ground to make the celebration worthwhile.
