Caritas Nigeria is committed to empowering individuals and communities through quality education. As one of the seven Thematic Areas of Caritas Nigeria, our Education initiatives are central to realizing our vision of creating “An environment where everyone enjoys the fullness of life.

Our Vision

We believe that education is a powerful tool for transformation. Our educational interventions aim to support the educational advancement of individuals across all tiers of the educational system, including primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. This commitment aligns with the Catholic Church’s teaching mission to all humanity.

Our Initiatives

Caritas Nigeria collaborates with partners and donor organizations to strengthen educational institutions established by faith-based organizations. This includes approximately 3,000 Catholic primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Our key programs include:

• Child Education: Ensuring access to quality education for children in all communities.
• Training of Teachers: Enhancing the skills and capacities of educators to provide high-quality teaching.
• Girl-Child Education: Promoting and supporting education for girls, ensuring they have equal opportunities to succeed.

Our Impact

Our target beneficiaries are communities across Nigeria, regardless of race, religion, or location. By working together with partners and local communities, Caritas Nigeria strives to create educational opportunities that empower individuals and promote sustainable development.
