Breaking Barriers and Advocating for Gender-Based Violence Intervention in Nigerian Schools

Share:

In a bid to further improve collaborations with the Government of Nigeria, particularly in the education sector, a delegation of our team in Imo State led by the State Team Lead (STL), Dr. Jonathan Olarewaju, paid an advocacy visit to the Commissioner of Education, Prof. John-Cliff Chike Nwadike, to seek government support in mainstreaming the “No Means No” gender-based violence intervention across schools in the state.
Reacting to the STL’s presentation of Caritas Nigeria’s strides in breaking barriers to quality healthcare in Imo State, the Commissioner pledged to support the development of the “No Means No” education tools and facilitate our entry into the proposed partner schools.
