Share:

A step-down training on COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) was conducted for nurses in health facilities in Enugu State by Caritas Nigeria.

The training was designed to provide knowledge and skills on WHO-recommended IPC measures for health care facilities, including when dealing with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case and to demonstrate the correct techniques for hand hygiene, donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE).

The training was delivered virtually using the TeleECHO platforms via Zoom. Prepared slides were used to discuss in an interactive manner with the participants; questions were asked at the end of the presentation and clarifications given.

A total of 92 participants benefited from the training.
