Caritas Nigeria Abia State team, led by Dr. Charles Okolie, paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency, Priscilla Otti, the wife of Abia State’s Executive Governor at the Government House in Abia State.
During the visit, the team felicitated Her Excellency, Priscilla Otti, over her victory in the 2023 election. The team also recognized her acknowledgment of Caritas Nigeria’s exceptional work in the state, especially in the fields of HIV and OVC support. In solidarity, Her Excellency pledged her unwavering and steadfast support to Caritas Nigeria’s initiatives in Abia State, reaffirming its shared dedication to working collaboratively for the betterment of the communities.
The visit aimed to spotlight the substantial and impactful work being conducted by Caritas Nigeria within the state, with a particular emphasis on the efforts to combat the HIV epidemic, through awareness campaigns, testing and counseling services, care and treatment for PLHIV, and ensuring commitment to eradicating the stigma surrounding this epidemic.
