A step-down training on Laboratory Bio-safety Measures (including for COVID-19) was conducted for laboratory scientists in health facilities, and other cadres of health workers in Enugu State.
The training was designed to provide knowledge and skills on Standard Precautions and WHO-recommended bio-safety guidance in relation to SARS-CoV-2 in laboratory settings. The training is also expected to equip the health workers with the correct techniques for hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
About 51 persons participated in the training.
