The sixteen beneficiaries that participated in the Skills Acquisition training were accompanied by their caregivers and trainers. Twelve out of the total number of 16 trainees received a branded Sewing machine each. While two other trainees received hairdressing machines, the last two on the list received barbing salon kits, and one electrical wiring kit respectively.

Making the presentation on behalf of Caritas Nigeria Enugu, Dr. Charles Onyegbado, Technical Advisor, congratulated the beneficiaries and advised them to make the best use of the opportunity given to them by Caritas Nigeria and the  Justice, Development and Peace Commission (JDPC).

Mr. Edward Ugba, Senior Technical Specialist, Orphans and Vulnerable Children(OVC), Caritas Nigeria Enugu while encouraging the beneficiaries to be productive, applauded the government’s sustainable human empowerment programs existing so far. He also pleaded with the government representatives who were in attendance at the event to assist Caritas Nigeria, and the Justice, Development and Peace Commision (DPC) in bringing out-of-School children back-to-School, and also support them with skills acquisition programs in order to improve the quality of life of the vulnerable children in the state.
