Caritas Nigeria trains 28 Healthcare workers and volunteers in Kano

Caritas Nigeria with support from Caritas Internationalis Dicastry for Intergral Development (The Vatican),  trained 28 Healtcare workers and community volunteers of the Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Hospital, and Niger Hospital, both in the diocese of Kano.

 The exercise which took place on the 6th to 7th of October 2020 was facilitated by Dr. Emmanuel Okechukwu, Secretary of Health in the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria and Mr Friday Alhassan of Caritas Nigeria Emergency and Humanitarian Response Team. According to Dr Okechukwu, preventing the transmission of inffection in health facilities is an important component of patient care and is more relevant in the light of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.
