Cash Disbursement to 400 PoCs in Adamawa State

The Caritas Nigeria UNHCR-funded Livelihoods project made cash disbursement to 400 People of Concern (PoCs) in different communities across 4 Local Government Areas of Adamawa state.

The exercise which took place between 9 – 19 June, 2020 was facilitated by the United Bank for Africa (UBA) – using their staff while Staff of Caritas Nigeria were on ground to supervise it and ensure it met the core Humanitarian standard. Also present was the Human Rights Commission to monitor the exercise. 

Each PoC received a total of N30,000 meant to be startup grant to support their small businesses. Out of the total 400 beneficiaries, 279 were females while 121 were males. The benefiting local governments include Yola, Michika, Mubi and Madagali.
