Regional Planning and Peer Review Session: Strengthening Faith-based Approach to HIV+ Children Treatment

Share:

Caritas Nigeria hosted a Regional Planning and Peer Review Session with Caritas Congo Asbl, where we shared lessons and insights about the Faith-based Approach to Increase Identification and Treatment of HIV+ Children (FAITH) project, funded by The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), UNAIDS, and Caritas.
“In Nigeria, only about 32% of HIV+ children are on treatment; we will use every means to test and treat more children. We are doing everything possible to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV, so no child is born with HIV by 2030.” – Dr. Leo Zekeng of UNAIDS Nigeria Country Director
