Breaking Barriers and Advocating for Gender-Based Violence Intervention in Nigerian Schools

In a bid to further improve collaborations with the Government of Nigeria, particularly in the education sector, a delegation of our team in Imo State led by the State Team Lead (STL), Dr. Jonathan Olarewaju, paid an advocacy visit to the Commissioner of Education, Prof. John-Cliff Chike Nwadike, to seek government support in mainstreaming the “No Means No” gender-based violence intervention across schools in the state.

Supporting Community Health: The Role of the “No Means No Boys” Intervention

The “No Means No Boys SGBV Prevention” intervention, carried out by the Caritas Nigeria OVC Team in Abia State, was executed at Ogbor Community Primary School 1, Aba North Local Government Area, under the supervision of the Presbyterian Church and Service Development OVC CBO. Enhancing Education in Imo State: Caritas Nigeria’s Desk Donation Initiative

To help the children achieve the future they desire through education, Caritas Nigeria, in partnership with the People’s Health and Economic Development Centre (PHEDEC), procured and handed over seven (7) classroom desks for the pupils of Obizi High School in Ezinihitte Community, Mbaise local government area (LGA) of Imo state, as part of our Orphans and Vulnerable Children’s (OVC) intervention.
