Project Goal: Provide inclusive, safe, and dignified access to immediate humanitarian food and WASH assistance to the most vulnerable internally displaced persons (IDP) and host communities and to strengthen community resilience in hard-to-reach areas of Kaga, Magumeri, and Gwoza LGAs in Borno State, Northeast Nigeria
Targets: To support 2,367 households (14,200 individuals) with cash transfers during the lean season of June – September 2024.
Activities: This phase of the project will reach 2,367 households in 27 villages targeted by this action located in hard-to-reach areas of Gwoza, Kaga, and Magumeri LGAs of Borno state. The intervention will focus on providing direct access to integrated multi-sectoral, context-adapted assistance, which will cover the most urgent humanitarian needs of the most vulnerable people and communities. Its approach is community-based and participatory, seeking the empowerment of beneficiaries; rebuilding their lives after an emergency hit, and collaborating with faith leaders to spread essential prevention messages in vulnerable communities.
