REFUSING TO GIVE UP!

Share:

It is my desire to get back to you, today, after several weeks of little of no communications.  We have been deeply engaged in lots and lots of activities in preparations for the 2023 General elections in Nigeria.

Today the presidential election has come, and the outcome was not what we hoped and worked for. There were hitches and contradictions. There were also reasons to give up hope and resign to fate.  But we do not adjudge the day as fruitless, until the evening of the day has come and gone.

Yes, we have the courage of hope, that tomorrow would bring better prospects and life. Life is based on hope, without which no one would be able to live and live realistically. We live on hope and our hope does not disappoint us. And that is the message of today’s digest. At all levels, in private and public, our lives and activities are dependent on our perspectives on hope. How do we live today? And what informs our orientations and prospects for the future?

As Individuals and groups, we are being encouraged never to give up the resolve, to lose focus, and resign to fate. It brings us nothing but desperation and void in our lives. Refusing to give up is therefore the required arsenal against the oddities of our times. We must remain steadfast at our convictions and look to the future with great optimism. In that way ,we would be able to offer assistance to those who are bowed down by the vicissitudes of life and broken at the weight of its burden.

Finally, let us know,  that every circumstance of our life is fraught with one burden or the other. And we cannot live without any. Life itself is full of those elements that tempt us to resignation. But in the presence of hope, life in prosperity and joy is possible. Let us live and work in such a way that we are not subject to hopelessness and lack of trust.

Shalom
