Following an organizational assessment conducted among Caritas staff in the northeast and its partners in 2022, several gaps were discovered in their project identification, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation (M&E) and closure capabilities.
In line with development standards, and cooperation with Caritas Nigeria, the ICS unit organized a 4-day residential training on project management for development professionals for Caritas staff in the north-east and local partners. It was observed for instance that many partners were monitoring projects using traditional monitoring techniques and had little information on standard monitoring tools and sustainable reporting.
