Imo State Central Mosque opens doors for COVID-19 Vaccination

Share:

While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to threaten more Nigerian communities amidst increasing awareness and willingness by people to participate in the vaccination exercise, the Caritas Nigeria  4GATES program in partnership with Imo State Primary Health Care Development Agency (IMSPHCDA), is working…

assiduously to contain it by devising new strategies.  One of such strategies is taking the vaccination exercise to the Owerri Central Mosque after the usual Jumat service (Friday prayers).

The free vaccination exercise is aimed at reaching residents of the state in hard-to-reach and unusual communities who are willing to take the vaccine. It is also meant to encourage as many as possible to participate so that no one will be left  behind.
