Raising awareness in the fight against Gender Based Violence Imo State

Share:

Joining the Imo State chapters of the National Human Rights Commission, the Ministry of Women Affairs, the International Federation of Women Lawyers, the Nigerian Bar Association, and civil society organizations, the Caritas Nigeria team in Imo State organised a road walk around strategic areas of the state capital to sensitize residents about 16 days of activism.
Prior, our staff were at a Holy Mass celebrated in honour of victims and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). Thereafter, a short drama was staged to convey the impact of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) on individuals and society through storytelling, challenging stereotypes, advocating for change, and encouraging action against GBV.
