Engagement Meeting with the Leadership of Medical Laboratory Scientists Council of Nigeria in Asaba

CDC facilitated an engagement meeting between the Delta State ART Surge Team and the Leadership of Medical Laboratory Scientists Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) in Delta State.

The meeting which focused on leveraging on private laboratory facilities in the state to increase HIV case finding in the state.
had massive support from the SAPC and other state actors. The consensus statement at the end of the two-day engagement was that Delta State agencies and private laboratories were ready to actively participate in the fight against HIV in Delta State.

In attendance were the President of the Guild of Medical Directors, Mrs Chioma Austin-Onuorah, as well as Mr Gregory Uchuno of MLSCN. The CDC NIGERIA team was led by McPaul Okoye.
