Caritas Nigeria is taking a significant step in curbing tuberculosis and enhancing Early Infant HIV Diagnostic (EID) testing. Recently, our team in Imo State organized a two-day training program on the GeneXpert machine, provided by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through CDC.
The primary objective of this training was to build the capacity of our supported facilities in Imo
state in the latest knowledge and emerging trends in integrated disease testing.
By leveraging the capabilities of the GeneXpert machine, Caritas Nigeria is determined to improve the efficiency and accuracy of HIV diagnosis in infants, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate care.
