Continuous Voters Registration facilitated by Caritas Nigeria

Share:

As the 2023 general elections draw near, Caritas Nigeria through her Good Governance program collaborated with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), implemented a one-week continuous voters registration (CVR) exercise in two locations in

Abuja aimed at bringing voter registration to the grassroots.  The registration centres were  in  Durumi at the Medical Laboratory Science of Nigeria Headquarters (MLSC), and Immigration office at Tafawa Balewa road, Garki, Abuja. The exercise began on the 12th of May and ended 18th of May, 2022.

The two continous voters registration (CVR) centres were created to give  eligible Nigerians the opportunity to  either register as first time voters; apply for replacement of damaged voter’s card; and or change voting centre from one  location to  another. The proximity to polling units and the retriction of movement  on election days were also put into consideration in approving the registration centres.
