The importance of data in HIV programming cannot be overemphasized. Further to improving performance measurement, accurate and reliable data provide facts about HIV testing, linkage, and retention.
To assess and improve the quality of HIV care & treatment services provided under the 4GATES (Global Action Towards Epidemic control in Subnational units in Nigeria) program, Caritas Nigeria, together with the CDC team, recently went on a Data Quality Assessment (DQA) visit to selected service delivery facilities in Delta State.
At the assessed facilities namely, Okwe General Hospital, Asaba, Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, and Central Hospital, Agbor, some clients accessing HIV treatment services thereof gave progress updates regarding their treatment regimen and viral load statuses.
