As the World observes Environment Day, Caritas Nigeria held a seminar in a bid to find a sustainable “Solution to Plastic Pollution.” The event aimed to raise awareness and initiate thought-provoking discussions on effective plastic waste management strategies.
Leading the charge, Caritas Nigeria Executive Secretary/CEO, Rev. Fr. Uchechukwu Obodoechina, shed light on the urgent need to preserve the planet through proactive measures for combating plastic waste.
Likewise, the keynote speaker, Executive Director of the West Africa Green Economic Development Institute (WAGEDI), Professor Magnus C. Onuoha, not only emphasized the critical role of individuals in safeguarding the environment but also proffered invaluable solutions to plastic waste.
Other Environmental Specialists, John A. Oyedepo and Terfa Kene, also highlighted the adverse effects of public waste and sustainable practices for environmental conservation.
