Caritas Nigeria, together with the global community, stands firm in promoting the right of every person to access quality healthcare, with particular focus on HIV testing, treatment, and sustained care.
On this World AIDS Day, across Nigeria and around the world, we pause to acknowledge and celebrate the resilience of healthcare workers who continue to serve with dedication, and the courage of all individuals who take the bold step to know their HIV status.
We believe that ending AIDS is possible, but only when people are empowered to know their status without fear or stigma, and when treatment remains accessible, timely, and uninterrupted. This can be achieved by strengthening HIV testing services, ensuring accurate diagnosis, and guaranteeing prompt treatment and ongoing supportive care for everyone in need.
With unity, determination, and compassion, we can bridge gaps, overcome disruptions, and accelerate a transformed AIDS response. Together, we rise — for dignity, for health, and for hope.
