To kick-start activities for a smooth election observation of the 2023 General Elections in Nigeria, the Executive Secretary and CEO of Caritas Nigeria in what is a tradition at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria since the return of democracy in Nigeria has unveiled the 2023 Election Situation Room to serve the purpose.
The exercise was part of the Press Conference on the 2023 elections held at the Conference Hall of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria today, February 24, 2024 and delivered by Caritas Nigeria’s CEO, Revd. Fr. Uchechukwu Obodoechina.
A total of 6000 (accredited and citizen) Observers across the country using the newly deployed Mobile Election Observation App will work directly with members of the Situation Room to provide situation updates from which will be further analyzed and broken down for the members of the society.
