On May 23, Caritas Nigeria, through the INTEGRATE Tuberculosis (TB) project funded by Stop TB Partnership, procured an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled Mobile Chest X-Ray machine to support the TB programming in Ebonyi State.
The machine was presented to the Ebonyi State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Daniel Umezuruike, at the State Ministry of Health, with major representatives of the State TB & Leprosy Control Program, National TB program (Ebonyi State Chapter), and World Health Organization Nigeria in attendance.
The initiative aims to strengthen the TB program in Ebonyi State, contributing to improved healthcare services in the region. This cutting-edge equipment will undoubtedly strengthen the control measures for TB, leading to improved diagnosis and treatment outcomes.
