Ivy Fidelia Odia Basil-Ofili joined Caritas Nigeria in October 2023 as an Advisor in Business Development. She holds a Master of International Law and Diplomacy (MILD), a Barrister at Law (BL), a Bachelor of Law (LLB), and a Diploma in Law (DL) with Distinction. Ivy specializes in Business Development, Fundraising, and Programme Management.

In her role, Ivy engages in direct fundraising activities, cultivating relationships with donors, foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors to secure funding for Caritas Nigeria’s projects. She provides strategic direction for fundraising, leads organizational assessments, and influences the humanitarian agenda in Nigeria. Ivy also coordinates proposal development, mentors the Communications and Business Development team, and facilitates resource mobilization and proposal writing trainings.

With over 16 years of experience, Ivy has built a robust career in business development, fundraising, women’s rights advocacy, project management, and child protection. She holds certifications in Project Management for Development Professionals (PMD-Pro), Child Safeguarding and Protection, and Crisis Emergency Response. Ivy is a member of several professional organizations, including the Nigerian Bar Association, Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators, and the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA).
