Fr. Peter Audu Strengthens Staff Capacity During Enugu Office Visit

As part of his ongoing working tour of Caritas Nigeria’s regional offices, the Executive Secretary/CEO, Fr. Peter Audu, concluded his engagements with a visit to the Enugu State Office, where he met with staff and engaged the team on strengthening program implementation and staff development.

During the visit, Fr. Audu first held a meeting with the State Team Lead, Dr. Fabian Bassey, and members of the team implementing the Global Fund tuberculosis intervention in the region. In the course of the interaction, he listened attentively to updates on the progress recorded so far and reflected with the team on practical ways of addressing existing gaps to enhance the program’s impact. He also engaged staff through brief one-on-one interactions, creating an opportunity to listen to their concerns, understand their welfare needs, and identify areas where additional support may be required.

The visit concluded with an all-staff meeting focused on staff development and strengthening organizational systems in the region. During the session, Fr. Audu delivered a presentation on Caritas Nigeria’s core values and encouraged staff to embody these principles in both their professional responsibilities and personal conduct. Staff members also had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarifications, while the Executive Secretary provided guidance and responded to the concerns raised.
