The Comprehensive Humanitarian Emergency Response and Economic Recovery for Sustainable Livelihoods in Nigeria (CHEERS-Flex) project funded by Utenriksdepartementet (Norge) through Caritas Norge, and implemented by Caritas Nigeria in Adamawa and Borno States, seeks to meet the food security, nutritional, protection, livelihoods, and hygiene needs of vulnerable persons.
To this end, our project team recently trained the Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Committee (WASHCOM) in the Bama local government area of Borno State on the preparation of chlorine solution for latrine disinfection, water treatment, and cleaning of household items, with the ultimate goal of reducing the spread of waterborne diseases and improving public health.
