Dr. John Okpanachi Oko

Dr John Okpanachi Oko is a goal driven and dedicated professional with over 20 years’ extensive experience in HIV prevention, care and treatment program design and management in Nigeria. Dr. Oko currently serves as the Principal Investigator/Chief of Party for the Accelerated Control of HIV Epidemic and Sustainability Solution (ACCESS), a project funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He provides strategic leadership and direction for the project and is accountable for project deliverables and results, with full accountability and authority for the development, execution, and monitoring of the project, including vision and technical strategy; project management and communication; stakeholders’ management; and synergy and coordination with other projects. He has good knowledge and understanding of PEPFAR HIV program areas and has demonstrable competence in donor reporting. Dr. Oko worked with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) for over five years where he was a member AIDSRelief CTCT (Country Technical Coordinating Team), and served in acting capacity for the Chief of Party at various times. He has experience in grants and financial management and in USG financial regulations.

Dr John Okpanachi Oko holds an MBA in Healthcare Management, he is a passionate Medical Technical leader who is vast in program development and management, organizational leadership, and strategic planning, demonstrating his passion for driving impactful healthcare initiatives.
