Caritas Nigeria

Recently, about 186 Income-Generating Activity (IGA) start-up kits were distributed to participants under the “Food Security and Humanitarian Protection for Victims of the Lake Chad Crisis project” funded by the Auswärtiges Amt through Caritas Deutschland, and implemented by Caritas Nigeria and Justice AndPeace.
The distributions took place across Kaga, Magumeri, and Gwoza Local Government Areas in Borno State, reaching vulnerable women and men determined to rebuild their futures. These kits are specially aimed at Gender Based Violence survivors, equipping them with the tools to start small businesses, generate income, and take steps toward self-reliance.
For many, this support means more than just materials; it’s a fresh start, a chance to regain dignity, and a path to stability. Each kit represents hope in action and reflects our commitment to turning vulnerability into strength. Together, with our partners and supporters, we are making recovery possible one livelihood at a time.
