We kick-started our annual Caritas Nigeria Day celebrations today with an opening Mass at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja. This year’s event is graced by delegates from Caritas member organizations in the African region, who are in Nigeria for the Caritas Africa Commission Regional Meeting.
In his homily, the Chief Celebrant, Caritas Africa President, Msgr. Pierre Cibambo Ntakobajira, in his homily, encouraged staff to be wholeheartedly committed and selfless in their endeavours towards the fulfillment of the mission of Caritas.
Caritas Nigeria Executive Secretary/CEO, Rev. Fr. Uchechukwu Obodoechina, PhD, in his warm welcome to the delegates, noted that the 3-day meeting currently hosted by Caritas Nigeria would promote unity and collaboration within the Caritas network.
