On June 13, 2023, Caritas Nigeria, in collaboration with Catholic Relief Services, the State Agency for Universal Health Coverage (ESA-UHC), and the Enugu State Government, organized a one-day training on Demand Creation for Health Insurance among Healthcare Workers in the state.
The training aimed to promote accessible and affordable healthcare for all by educating and empowering healthcare workers to foster a better understanding of health insurance and its benefits for both providers and patients.
The Caritas Nigeria team working in Enugu State together with the Catholic Relief Services team enlightened the participants about the health insurance system and its enrollment process, community sensitization, and Universal Health Coverage for people living with HIV within the health insurance scheme.
