Today, 28 August 2026, Caritas Nigeria held its third General Staff Meeting of the year, bringing together staff from the Headquarters and State Offices. The meeting was moderated by our Global Fund/TB, Senior Program Officer, Williams Mayah alongside Ijeoma Enyinnaya Akadoronye, Bussiness Development Associate.
In his welcome address, the Executive Secretary/CEO, Fr Peter Audu, appreciated staff for their dedication and hard work. He prayed for God’s continued blessings and guidance and encouraged everyone to participate actively and contribute meaningfully to the discussions.
A key presentation on the Performance Development Plan was delivered by the Head of Human Resources, Dominic Ofunne, he highlighted the importance of regular performance appraisals and coaching sessions to be conducted two or three times a year for all staff. The Data Protection Officer, Barr. Onomen Oriakhi, also led a session titled “Data Protection: What You Should Know.” She discussed key data protection principles and the need to safeguard personal information, particularly when working with vulnerable people.
In his closing remarks on behalf of the Executive Secretary, the Chief of Party, Dr. John Oko Okpanachi, appreciated staff for their active participation and the facilitators for their contributions. He encouraged everyone to sustain the spirit of teamwork and continue serving Caritas Nigeria’s beneficiaries with commitment, professionalism, and care.
