Caritas Nigeria Holds Quarterly Meeting to Enhance Efficiency

To enhance operational efficiency and foster collaboration across departments, Caritas Nigeria held its quarterly Operations Meeting on November 5, 2025, at the National Office in Abuja. The meeting brought together the Executive Secretary/CEO, Fr. Peter Audu, members of the Senior Management Team, and program and departmental leads from across the organization.

The purpose of the meeting was to review ongoing projects and initiatives, assess departmental performance, and strategize for improved service delivery. Fr. Audu opened the session with welcome remarks, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, transparency, and a shared commitment to Caritas Nigeria’s mission of serving vulnerable populations.

The various units and departments presented updates on achievements, discussed current challenges, and outlined future targets. These presentations provided a comprehensive overview of the organization’s progress and laid the groundwork for strategic planning. A plenary session followed, focusing on strengthening internal operations and enhancing interdepartmental coordination.

A key highlight of the meeting was a session on procurement processes and security systems enhancement across regional offices, moderated by Dr. Amana Effiong, Program Director. This segment underscored Caritas Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to improve accountability, operational effectiveness, and coordination in delivering impactful humanitarian and development interventions.

The meeting concluded with an interactive feedback session involving state teams, who shared field experiences, operational challenges, and lessons learned from diverse contexts. In his closing remarks, Dr. Effiong commended participants for their active engagement and reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to advancing sustainable development across Nigeria
