Commemorating the International Day of the Girl Child

Share:

To celebrate International Day of the Girl Child marked annually on October 11, the Caritas Nigeria office in Abia State, in collaboration with the Presbyterian Community Service and Development, Aba, organized an educational session at the Presbyterian Secondary School in Aba, with a view to empowering the students and emphasizing their role in leadership.
Discussing this year’s theme, “Invest in Girls’ Rights: Our Leadership, Our Well-being,” representatives of our OVC team and the Manager of the Abia State Political Affairs, Gender, and Special Duties, Mrs. Anastasia Uchenna, encouraged the girls to speak up and seek help in times of danger, molestation, and harassment.
The excited young females actively engaged with the facilitators and expressed their appreciation for the valuable information and insights provided.
