Caritas Nigeria Empowers Adolescents in Abia State for Economic Stability

Share:

Thirteen (13) adolescents on our OVC program under the ACCESS project in Abia state were recently supported by Caritas Nigeria to build economic stability.
On September 28, 2023, the Caritas Nigeria team in Abia State organized a startup kits handover ceremony in Aba South local government area that heralded the distribution of vocational skill kits to 9 female and 4 male young adults as part of the household economic strengthening component of the stable thematic area of the ACCESS project.
Caritas Nigeria delivered the economic intervention with the cooperation of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria – a community and faith-based organization – facilitating access to Orphans and Vulnerable Children’s (OVC) services under The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and CDC-funded Accelerated Control of HIV Epidemic and Sustainability Solutions (ACCESS) project.
Prior, the adolescents had successfully undergone training in various skills, including fashion designing, hairdressing, aluminum production, and pastry-making.
