Share:

In Abia State, where Caritas Nigeria is implementing The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and CDC funded ACCESS project, healthcare workers from selected health facilities have been trained on demand creation for health insurance.
While emphasizing the importance of Universal Health Coverage for People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and their inclusion in the health insurance scheme, the training also underscored the need for equitable access to healthcare services for the vulnerable population.

Over 35 dedicated healthcare workers from various health offices in Abia State participated in the training, which was organized in conjunction with the Abia State Health Insurance Agency (ABSHIA).
