To bolster Benue State’s Early Warning and Early Response (EWER) system, UNHCR and Caritas Nigeria distributed solar kits to key community informants in Guma and Makurdi LGAs (specifically Yelewata, Tatyough, North Bank 1, and North Bank 2). These kits ensure uninterrupted power for charging Protect Tool devices, allowing for continuous incident reporting and timely alerts. Supported by hands-on training on kit maintenance and operation, this initiative strengthens local protection networks and enables faster humanitarian responses for both displaced and host populations.
