Head of Finance
Atogbon Gregory is a seasoned finance professional with extensive expertise in financial management, grants administration, and compliance within the development sector. He joined Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria (Caritas Nigeria) on July 2, 2012, and currently serves as the Head of Finance, leading the finance team in financial management, cash flow forecasting, accounting, budgeting, and donor reporting. His leadership ensures effective financial oversight across 10 donor-funded projects, enhancing transparency and accountability.
Gregory holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a recognition he has held since 2012. With over 17 years of experience in financial management, he previously worked as an Accountant with the Catholic Ecclesiastical Province of Abuja from 2009 to 2012, where he managed donor-funded projects supported by MISEREOR, GTZ, CORDAID, CRS, and USAID. Upon joining Caritas Nigeria, he served as a Finance Officer on several U.S. CDC-funded projects, including CHAN CHARIS, SUSTAIN, 4GATES, and ACCESS. His expertise extends to financial reporting, grants management, and donor compliance for organizations such as Caritas Internationalis, UNHCR, Caritas Germany, Caritas Norway, FAO, and GIZ.
He has attended several specialized training programs, including PMD Pro 1, Dale Carnegie Training on Leadership, Management Accounting for Non-Governmental Organizations (MANGO) Training, and Direct Knowledge Consult’s Performance Management Systems Training. He is also trained in Infor SunSystems Software, further strengthening his financial management capabilities.
