Food Security and Humanitarian Protection for Victims of the Lake Chad Crisis in Northeast Nigeria, Northern Cameroon, and Chad

Project Goal: To improve the living conditions and dignity of people affected by the persistent armed conflict between non-state armed groups and government forces in the Lake Chad region.
Targets:
- 6,808 Households will receive cash transfers based on sectorial recommendations and beneficiary preference during the lean season.
- 3,830 households will receive cash transfers/or vouchers for seeds and agricultural tools to improve access to use of land for self-sufficiency during the season accompanied by training in good agricultural practices.
Activities: The project aims to mitigate conflict-related food insecurity and enhance protection for vulnerable groups in the Lake Chad region, with a focus on Borno state in Nigeria. It strives to improve living conditions and restore dignity for those affected by persistent armed conflict. The project approach centers on food security, livelihoods, nutrition, and Protection, employing a combination of cash transfers and in-kind assistance to support the most vulnerable households.
