In continuation of the ongoing Caritas Nigeria Day, our staff, who are supporting farmers in Ekiti state with climate-smart techniques on the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation-funded B-SLiC (Building Sustainable Livelihoods for Vibrant Communities) project, organized an environmental cleaning exercise in Ekiti state.
The community service promoted awareness about the importance of proper waste disposal which is crucial a step to contextualizing LaudatoSi.
Similarly, the team carried out an outreach at Annunciation Secondary School, Ikere-Ekiti, to raise awareness about Climate-smart agricultural techniques.
Besides underscoring the need for educating and inspiring them to consider a career in agriculture, the students also gained knowledge about sustainable farming and environmental preservation practices.
