Dr. Jude Ilozumba, who joined Caritas Nigeria in 2017, is a seasoned public health expert specializing in tuberculosis (TB) and HIV program implementation. He holds an MBBS and a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), bringing over two decades of extensive experience to his role.

As the Director of TB Programs, Dr. Ilozumba leads the Global Fund TB project in Nigeria, providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure its successful implementation. He has pioneered the deployment of AI-enabled X-ray technology for the integrated screening of TB, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), and chronic respiratory diseases (CRDs). His initiatives have improved case detection and care outcomes in underserved communities. Dr. Ilozumba also drives key interventions in community testing for HIV among pregnant women, promoting integration with TB and HIV services while coordinating multidisciplinary teams to enhance health system performance.
