Conrad N. Hilton Foundation & Caritas Nigeria Empower Badagry Households with Poultry Initiative

In Badagry-Lagos State and its environs, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and Caritas Nigeria are enhancing food security, nutrition, and income generation by empowering vulnerable individuals and households with agricultural enhancement initiatives.

On 3 May 2024, we distributed livestock to 252 beneficiaries currently enrolled in the region’s Conrad N. Hilton Foundation-supported B-SLiC project. Each person received a comprehensive package containing 10 boiler chicks, a drinker, a feeder, and half a bag of chicken feed to advance their poultry farming.

Our Grants and Compliance team, together with our Program Management staff in our #Enugu field office had a two-day review workshop for facility-based staff working on the #ACCESS project across 24 @caritasnigeria-supported service delivery facilities in the state. They were also joined by staff from partner Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) in the state.

The workshop, which began from 3rd to 4th October, focused on facility finance processes, and the project donor's allowable and unallowable costs. A session, which featured valid documentation, had the attendees focusing on invoices, receipts, and procurement records, equipping them with the knowledge to efficiently manage financial records and documentation processes.
