On the 10th of July 2026, Caritas Nigeria welcomed a delegation from the International Medical Corps (IMC), led by Paul Nguyen, Director of the Project Management Office, on a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary/CEO of Caritas Nigeria, Fr Peter Audu, at the organization’s Headquarters in Abuja.
The delegation was received by the Executive Secretary/CEO alongside members of Caritas Nigeria‘s Senior Management Team. During the meeting, the IMC team presented its customized healthcare digitization solutions, showcasing innovative digital tools designed to strengthen healthcare delivery, pharmaceutical management, supply chain systems, and telehealth services, particularly in remote and crisis-affected communities.
The IMC delegation also demonstrated how its digital solutions, developed in close collaboration with healthcare professionals, address real-world challenges in medical facilities and humanitarian settings. The interactive session provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange on the role of technology in strengthening health systems, improving operational efficiency, and expanding access to quality healthcare for vulnerable populations.
In response, the Caritas Nigeria team expressed appreciation to the delegation for the insightful presentation and the innovative solutions shared. The team noted that the proposed digital platforms would undergo an internal review and advised the International Medical Corps to engage the appropriate national authorities to ensure that any future collaboration or implementation aligns with national frameworks and is coordinated through the relevant government institutions.
