Accelerated Control of HIV Epidemic and Sustainability Solutions (ACCESS) Project
Funder: The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Project Goal: HIV Epidemic control in subnational units
Strategic Objective and Targets:
- 95% of PLHIV in target subnational units (SNUs) know their status and are linked to treatment.
- Increased uptake of comprehensive HIV care and treatment services for PLHIV and their families.
- The health system is strengthened to achieve and sustain HIV epidemic control in SNUs.
- GoN and CSOs have their capacities increased to manage and sustain the program.
Activities: HIV testing services (HTS), Orphans and Vulnerable Children’s (OVC) support, Care and Support services for Adolescents and Youth Living with HIV (AYLHIV), gender-based violence response, health systems strengthening, and partnership strengthening.
Other Partners: The Government of Nigeria (GoN), Communities Based-Organizations (CBOs), and health facilities
