Job Purpose
The Protection Area Supervisor will oversee the implementation of protection monitoring activities, supervise protection monitors and data analyst, ensure quality data collection, and strengthen protection response for IDPs and host communities in Makurdi and Guma LGAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to Protection Monitors, and data analysts.
- Coordinate protection monitoring activities and field assessments.
- Ensure quality assurance of protection data and reports.
- Support case management and referral systems for vulnerable individuals.
- Liaise with local authorities, community leaders, and humanitarian partners.
- Ensure compliance with protection standards and UNHCR guidelines.
- Prepare weekly and monthly protection reports.
- Organize capacity-building sessions for field staff and community structures.
- Support coordination with relevant sector stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Humanitarian Studies, Social Science, Law, International Development, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in humanitarian protection programming.
- Demonstrated experience supervising field teams.
- Experience working with IDPs and conflict-affected communities.
