Nigeria with an estimated population of 162 million has the second largest population of people living with HIV/AIDS in the world. Over the years, the Government of Nigeria (GoN) with the support of partners has taken giant strides to address the situation by implementing successive national HIV intervention programs with impressive gains. However, despite these gains, huge gaps have been identified in these interventions giving rise to declining results over the years especially among faith-based facilties who cater for a significant percentage of the population. It is against this background that the SUSTAIN project came into existence.

SUSTAIN  is the acronym for SUStainable HIV care and Treatment Action In Nigeria. It is a 5-year comprehensive HIV Care, Treatment and Prevention Program funded by CDC. SUSTAIN was designed to fill identified gaps in the National HIV intervention initiative by supporting the unique program needs of FB service providers to reach critical and underserved populations

The goal of the Project is reduce Morbidity and mortality due to HIV infection in Nigeria by working in partnership with faith-based institutions in all thematic areas of HIV & AIDS

We work with the poor, vulnerable and excluded, regardless of race or religion
