Through regular monitoring of IDPs in camps and host communities, the project identifies protection concerns, service gaps, and emerging trends, ensuring timely referrals for survivors of GBV, children at risk, and individuals subjected to unlawful detention. A strong legal aid component provides counselling, support for reporting crimes, resolving disputes, and detention monitoring in collaboration with law enforcement. At the community level, Caritas engages peace committees, women\u2019s and youth groups to strengthen reporting and referral pathways, while awareness campaigns promote rights education and safe complaint mechanisms. To ensure accountability, feedback systems are actively reinforced, enabling communities to report concerns and shape service delivery. Insights gathered continuously inform monitoring, legal programming, and advocacy, making this an adaptive and responsive protection project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job Summary:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fleet Assistant shall provide various transportation services, the nature of which is as assigned by the Fleet Manager, Admin Officer or designate. They transport products, materials, equipment and staff to and from specified locations. The incumbent\u2019s responsibilities include timely or scheduled drop off and pick up of staff, collection of packages and maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel-time and locations traveled to. They shall also be able to perform routine checks on the company vehicle. To be successful in this role, the Fleet assistant shall ensure that all transportation duties are carried out in a timely manner. Ultimately, it is expected that they shall be able to ensure that and other transportation details are correct before undertaking any pick-up or drop-off duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Areas of Accountability:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.<br>\u2022  Assisting with the loading and offloading of staff luggage, products, and materials.<br>\u2022  Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.<br>\u2022  Promptly informing the Organization of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.<br>\u2022  Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.<br>\u2022  Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance.<br>\u2022  Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle\u2019s coming and goings.<br>\u2022  Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Responsibilities (Above) are not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee will also perform other related tasks as required and will be responsible for reporting and communicating progress and achievement of the specific assigned tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualification and Experience:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested applicants must have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate SSCE is preferred.<br>\u2022 Minimum of 3 years work experience in a project environment.<br>\u2022 Valid driver\u2019s license.<br>\u2022 Clean driving record.<br>\u2022 Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.<br>\u2022 Working knowledge of local roads and routes around project locations.<br>\u2022 The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals.<br>\u2022 Effective communication skills.<br>\u2022 Punctual and reliable.<br>\u2022 Good communication and reporting skills including proficiency in both written and spoken English.<br>\u2022 Experience of dealing with difficult and sensitive situations in a professional manner.<br>\u2022 Ability to work under pressure, efficiently handle multiple tasks, quickly find creative solutions to problems and challenges that arise, and manage stress and time in a fast-paced work and fluid operating environment.<br>\u2022 Ability to foster and maintain a spirit of unity, teamwork, cooperation, and learning.<br>\u2022 Willingness and ability to travel.<br>\u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.<br>\u2022 Sensitivity in working with multiple cultures and beliefs, and to gender equity.<br>\u2022 Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Competencies:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Good Knowledge of effective communication skills both inter-personal and intra-personal.<br>\u2022 Team work and personal impact.<br>\u2022 Attention to detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Advantage:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Understanding of faith-based organizations and capacity-building in local partnerships<br>\u2022 Familiarity with policies, procedures, and priorities of Caritas agencies<br>\u2022 Experience in staff development and partner capacity<br>\u2022 Demonstrated commitment to improving gender equality in programming and operations.<br>\u2022 Demonstrated capacity and experience with institutional strengthening of civil society<br>\u2022 Flexibility to work both in a team and independently<br>\u2022 Cultural sensitivity, patience and flexibility<br>\u2022 Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Typical Physical Demands:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.<br>\u2022 Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.<br>\u2022 Ability to lift 5-50 lbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Safeguarding Statement:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As an organization, Caritas Nigeria takes the issue of Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) seriously.
