{"id":37559,"date":"2026-04-29T14:02:51","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T14:02:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/caritasnigeria.org\/jobboard\/?post_type=awsm_job_openings&#038;p=37559"},"modified":"2026-04-29T14:53:04","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T14:53:04","slug":"sample-movement-consultant","status":"publish","type":"awsm_job_openings","link":"https:\/\/caritasnigeria.org\/jobboard\/jobs\/sample-movement-consultant\/","title":{"rendered":"SAMPLE MOVEMENT CONSULTANT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose of the Job<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"caps\">The TB\/EID Sample Movement Consultant will support general public-private mix (PPM), community-active TB case search, and HIV early infant diagnosis implementation in the state, with a special focus on sample referral testing sites by sputum movers, as well as timely retrieval of results, and adequate documentation and monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborate with the State Technical Officer to work with the State Program in reviewing the existing molecular diagnostic sites (GeneXpert, Truenat, etc.) for mapping.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the effectiveness and efficiency of sputum sample\/EID referral in both public and private facilities in the state to designated GeneXpert sites and reference laboratories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct routine monitoring and supervisory visits to ensure the effectiveness of sample referrals in their respective states.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collate and submit monthly sputum shipment data in the state to the state program officer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and submit a verified Sputum\/EID payment sheet monthly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate monthly harmonization of data between the Linkage coordinators\/CBOs and the Local Government Tuberculosis and Leprosy Supervisor (LGTBLS).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support demands creation for tuberculosis (TB) services at the community level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write and share monthly narrative reports on sample shipments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Routine review and validation of sample shipment reports by the linkage coordinators for their respective states.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate prompt resolution of downtimes at any designated molecular diagnostic site and redirect or redistribute sputum samples to nearby sites for prompt testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct any other task as may be assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Qualification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Education:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BA, B.sc, HND in any relevant field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A master\u2019s degree in public health will be an additional advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Knowledge\/Experience:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1-3 years\u2019 relevant work experience with development agencies and foundations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in facility and community TB\/HIV program is an added advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge and experience with basic computer applications \u2013 Excel, MSW, PP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Skills:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proven team player<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to work effectively with minimum supervision and in a diverse team environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent planning and prioritization skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to think tactically<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good motivator of others<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willing to work additional hours at crucial times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Physical Demands:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to lift 5-50 lbs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Continued Professional Development CPD:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CARITAS NIGERIA <\/strong>is committed to providing CPD for its Employees.
