Last week, Caritas Nigeria organized a three-day training on Metadata development for 24 Health Informatics experts from CDC implementing partner organistions (IPs), namely Ihv Nigeria, APIN Public Health Initiatives Ltd/Gte, ECEWS, Cihpng, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, and Phis3project in our country office in Abuja.
To strengthen HIV program data management, the capacity-building exercise facilitated a collaborative learning environment for experts' exchange of ideas and shared experiences, providing a platform to collectively address challenges related to the Nigerian Medical Records System (NMRS) Metadata development.
The training also emphasized the importance of refining and optimizing NMRS form development to better serve the healthcare landscape in Nigeria.
The sessions scrutinized and improved metadata to align with healthcare practitioners' and organizations' specific needs for effective healthcare practices.
